How are the wires hooked up to the receiver? null

You'll need regular speaker wires (red/black or white/black) I had a pair of wire strippers, but any sharp knife will do. You have to strip the wires and there is an easy load plug on the rear of the speaker... you press down and a hole is exposed to put the wire in, NOT your old school reciever that was a bear, easy load. We even daisy chained speakers together and had no problem getting the wire in the posts, just don't overkill it with Monster speaker wire (you don't need that kind of wattage).

Speakers are hardwired. Ran the wire during the construction process. Spend the time to select the ideal location of each speaker during the wiring. It has its challenges but it is time well spent.

I had one of their "geek squad" members come out and give me a plan and quote on speakers and surround sound equipment. I used their advice and had everything prewired during construction of my home.
