A:AnswerYou need a knife to cut the ceiling tile (on a drop ceiling). Drywall would probably require a little saw.
You'll need a screw driver to tighten the brackets (phillips).
You might want a wire stripper.
You might need a drill depending on what holes you need for your wires.
You will also need speaker wire.
A:AnswerI use a dental pick. Dentck makes one that you can get at any phamarcy that works perfectly. Insert the pick thru the mesh speaker cover and gently
pull towards you and the cover will come off.
A:AnswerYou'll need regular speaker wires (red/black or white/black) I had a pair of wire strippers, but any sharp knife will do.
You have to strip the wires and there is an easy load plug on the rear of the speaker... you press down and a hole is exposed to put the wire in, NOT your old school reciever that was a bear, easy load.
We even daisy chained speakers together and had no problem getting the wire in the posts, just don't overkill it with Monster speaker wire (you don't need that kind of wattage).
A:AnswerThese are installed to a jukebox (200 watts) which has two pair of your typical speaker wires. I guess the key thing is making sure you fall into the power recommendations for the speakers.
A:AnswerYes but your wall would have to be thicker than a standard 2x4 wall...2x6 would probably work but since mine are already installed I can't measure the exact depth. The covers are paintable.
A:AnswerFor the same money, Yamaha has cleaner sound and lower wattage. Dirty sound destroys more speakers than power. Bic America has higher power speakers with decent electronics-best bang for the budget minded buck.
