• Yes if the CD player has an HDMI connection. Of not you can get and AV5toHDMI adapter.

• Yes, this unit accepts RCA connector input and optical cable input. your CD player likely will support one of those, if not both. if it is a 5-disc DVD player, there is 1 HDMI input you can use as well.
