“Can the front speakers be hooked up with the speaker wires that I already have run? Comments from other purchasers made it sound like you have to use the Samsung wires and cannot use standard speaker wires. Is this true?”

You will need to use the packaged wires regardless, since they have the connections for the back of the Home Theater unit. But you can connect the wires included to your existing hardware, and as long as your existing wire gauge isn't too big, it should work just fine. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.At the box end of the Samsung, the wires have small, color-coded plugs which would be difficult to move to your existing wires and you have to get the polarity right. Otherwise, you'll have all sorts of problems.

I suppose you could put the connectors onto the wires of your choice, but the system sound has already been optimized with the configuration of the unit and it's components as sold.
