Will be fine as long as you are connecting your audio/video source to the receiver via HDMI cable then HDMI cable to the Sony TV. There is no component output on the receiver (red-green-blue cables). If your DVD player uses HDMI then you are fine. Or you can connect your TV audio out connection to the Yamaha receiver and use it only for audio processing. I do not think your model TV has Bravia SYNC (HDMI CEC) so if you did hook it up via the HDMI cable you cannot use the one-button control where when you turn on/off the TV power the receiver will turn on or shut off.
