I bought this chromebook to replace an older laptop. So far I have used it to browse the internet and I have paid several bills with it. It has worked perfectly for my needs. I know it won't be able to do some things like install games that require a Windows operating system, and it doesn't have Microsoft Office products (excel, word, etc.) but google has it's own version of these products that have worked just fine for my limited needs. This chromebook is also much faster and lighter than my old laptop. Also, if you use other google products such as gmail or a chromecast, it syncs perfectly and very easily with them. I'm far from a computer expert, but in my opinion, for someone who just wants to browse the internet, check email, watch youtube, etc, this is just about the perfect product. You get a fast, reasonably priced machine without paying for lots of "stuff" you don't really use and that can bog the machine down. I've been very happy with my chromebook and don't see myself ever going back to a regular laptop. Hope this helps.
