Hello, Your question all depends on what type of software your home school program needs. If you need to have Microsoft Word, Excel, etc., you can get a Office 365 subscription and use that online. Google Docs can also save their text and spreadsheet documents as different types of file extensions, including Microsoft. If however there is a particular program you need that says it needs to be installed on a Windows or Mac computer, then this Chromebook would not work for you. I hope that helps!

But if you mostly want to browse the internet, then this is a great option. My daughter uses it to do research, watch videos, gmail... she loves it.
