1. Yes. This model has 2 stereo microphones located on the left and right sides of the camera lens. They look like little pin holes. 2. Yes. This model has a multi-recorder dvd player/burner and it plays and records cd, dvd and blu-ray disks if you have the right software which is not included. My notebook came with "powerdvd 12" which is a player only. It plays blu-ray movies very nicely with no problems so far. The 17 inch HD 1080 screen gives a fantastic image for blu-ray movies. The model number of the optical drive is MATSHITA BD-MLT UJ272Q in my notebook and the specs can be found on amazons website or google it. 3. The 1TB hard drive speed is 7200 RPM. The 512GB SSD drive is a lot faster and the windows 10 operating system is located on it so it boots up really fast if you disable the spash screen with the sound effects in the bios (press F2 as it is booting up to get to the bios) and set windows to boot up without asking for a password. Mine boots up and is ready to go within 16 seconds.
