Vertical orientation would only work if your graphics card rotates images and you are using a mounting bracket. The included stand only attaches for horizontal viewing. And viewing angles refer to your angle (side to side & above) from the monitor. Think sharing your screen with an audience.

The screen does not have any settings for rotating the data to a vertical orientation. So, no, the screen will not rotate the display.
