QuestionWhat is the end of support date for this model. I just got an email saying my current HP chromebook from Best Buy is due to be unsupported by Google in Sept 2021. I want to replace it, but not with a model that is nearing the end of its AEU-life.

- Answer No. You must buy a USB-C to HDMI connector. I bought a full dock from Anker that also has SD, micro-SD, PD and multiple USB-A and USB-C ports. Keep an eye on sales for this type of device, normally $50 I found this one for $22 brand new

- Answer You can use an external USB CD/DVD drive with a Chromebook. There are some major limitations to using a Chromebook external DVD or CD drive. External devices are limited as to storage of readable files, and music files are not, without drivers, which cannot be installed on a Chromebook. You may be better off using an SD Card or External Hard drive.

QuestionBest Buy specs mentions the Release date to be 2021. Is it really? As per Google's Auto Update (AUE) Policy end date of June 2026, I highly doubt the mentioned release date to be correct. Chromebooks release in 2021 have the AUE of at least June 2029.

QuestionI owned a Chrome Book a few years ago. It booted very fast, operated great but if I wasn't connected to the internet it was worst than a pad of paper and pencil. Basically worthless. I couldn't even play games, Does this one work without internet?

- Answer Chromebooks run off apps like an Android phone or tablet. If the game is available from Google Play or Chrome Web Store, then it should work fine.

- Answer If you mean wired ethernet, yes, you can use a USB to Ethernet adaptor that is supported by ChromeOS to run a hardwired connection, but the Wifi-AC is plenty honestly. You wont need a wired connection. As for the video, it features USB-C, so you'll need an HDMI adaptor to work that. The charging is via USB-C
