“the manual I received with the monitor says it has an audio in jack. And in the pictures it looks like that is the case as well. but there is none… did i get a manual for a different model?”

The KA242Y G0bi does not have an audio out port. The user guide will cover all SKU's within the model family. Some models such as the KA242Y Bbmiix have an audio out port and other models do not. We apologize for any inconvenience.
