“Is there a place to insert a micro, or even a sd card for picture/file transfers??? and if not how i would i go about that if i need to do that with this computer”

I recently purchased an acer Nitro laptop as well... I did not see a port for card readers. it's a good idea, in general, to invest in a USB card reader/writer. They're pretty cheap and it works great with my laptop! I have one 'similar' to the one attached
