Yes, it can get somewhat loud running at maximum performance (i.e.- Cyberpunk). I have owned other brands of high-end gaming laptops made by Gigabyte and Intel NUC which were near the same fan volume when running at high performance plugged in. I use Dolby Atmos over ear headphones when I game with any gaming laptop as it drowns out the fan at full throttle.

I’m not sure how loud the MSI gets, so I can’t say if this one is louder or not. I also use a cooling pad just to be safe.
