The crucial 2x32 booted into Windows ok. The first time after the change it took a couple minutes to post. I think it also needs to be plugged in during the initial loop. I gave up the first time off just the battery. The metal plate over the ram has small clips along its edge that you need to be careful with. There are also heat pads on the ram and inside the case bottom for the SSDs. I don't know if what's there is sufficient for a double sided ram chip. I may try improving that some. No heat testing done w the new parts yet but don't despair.. just wait longer.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Actually, I might not have waited long enough for it to post. I bought some Corsair DDR 5 32GB x 2 and it posted, but took a couple minutes.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I bought the "Timetec 64GB KIT(2x32GB) DDR5 4800MHz PC5-38400 Unbuffered Non-ECC 1.1V CL40 2Rx8 Dual Rank 262 Pin SODIMM Laptop Memory RAM Module Upgrade (64GB KIT(2x32GB))" and the laptop wouldn't boot with that. Tried single sticks in different positions as well.

It had 2 RAM slots that are filled with 2x8G (for 16G) cards. I am wanting to upgrade to 64G if possible, but have only seen 32G (2x16) sets listed. I don't know if DDR5 sizes can be mixed (like 8+16 or 8+32). You can add a 1T m.2 SSD to unfilled slot. I've seen 2T drives, which might be used. That would provide 3T total. There is no 2.5 SATA bay, though the sales person mistakenly thought there was one. Would have loved to put a 1T I have from my old Predator.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The RAM is DDR5 not DDR4. Not compatible. I too would like to know if this will take 64G. It comes with 2x8 DDR5 cards in the 2 slots. so it would need 2x32 (64G) or 2x16 (32G) to upgrade. I don't know if DDR5 can be mixed in the two slots as a possible option to only buy 1 card. As for brands of DDR5, I've seen PNY, ADATA and Crucial that make them. Probably more.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We just checked this link and it appears to be up: https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/predator-model/NH.QH9AA.001 But this model supports DDR4 4800 SO-DIMM memory, each of two slots up to 16GB.
