A:AnswerFrom using the product for several week and trying different games and game engines, I can safely say that it does NVIDIA Advanced Optimus (it does dynamically switch between the IGP and the discrete GPU) by using a app that is located in the taskbar. From my gaming session, the 8 GB doesn't seem to affect gaming performance and one of the plus of this laptop is that it isn't much heavier than my work laptop (it is heavier by 1 lbs)
