The Monitor does NOT support 120Hz for the PS5 at this point. I myself just got the Acer Predator XB253QGP for Christmas and after following all the steps needed (Including HDMI 2.0, turning off HDR, Ray tracing, FreeSync and putting my PS5 in performance mode) the PS5 did not give me the option to use the 120Hz option graphic set (in CoD: Cold War). The problem seems to be that the EDID data from the XB253QGP tells the PS5 that it is not a 120Hz-ready Monitor. Also seems to be connected to some VESA standards but I did not find time to look into that yet. On reddit and several other platforms that problem is well known for a wide range of 120hz-ready monitors. Sony could possibly patch the PS5 system software in a way that it will detect the affected monitors as 120Hz-ready, but as there's no official statement regarding that problem its hard to say if or when that will happen. Until then, this one, aswell as a set of other Monitors from different Manufacturers do not support the usage of 120hz Monitors even if they should.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I thought the same thing. I can't seem to enable 120hz on Cold War with my PS5. Not sure what I'm doing wrong here.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.DP and HDMI support up to 144hz, so it should work fine with 120hz with a PS5.
