• It depends on what your husband needs his laptop to do. If he's a heavy Google cloud user (gmail, drive, docs, etc) then this laptop is perfect for him. I use mine to research articles online and create documents, spreadsheets, and presentations. The battery life is awesome and the screen resolution is fantastic! If he wants to run specific programs on it, I'd lean towards a Windows laptop. But for any web-based thing it's terrific

• Do you know what he would like to use the computer for, or if there are any pieces of software that he will need? Chromebooks are great for basic web browsing and using Google Docs, but would not be able to download games or software designed for Windows or MacOSX.
