Depends on the homework. For art work and graphics, at best Chromebook can get to the level of working in PowerPoint. For art and graphics, I would suggest a good quality PC with Windows that can run true "art" software. For research, documents, spreadsheets, etc., it works fine. My kids use Chromebooks for school, I use it for personal and household stuff, my wife runs her business on it.
