Recertified products can be demo units, review units or customer returns. Unfortunately there is no way to determine why a particular model was recertified. With that said, these should be purchased with the expectation of some possible cosmetic issues, but the product should be in working condition. The Acer Aspire XC-840-UB11 likely cannot run high-end or modern, demanding games effectively. It is designed as an entry-level, home-office desktop, not a gaming machine.
