“Bought this monitor and after much trouble shooting it states that there are no built in speakers although there are vents where there should be speakers. There are also volume controls on the bottom of the monitor. Is this true?”

The On Screen Display may have a volume up/down setting but this monitor does not ship with built-in speakers.
