Monitors can remain relevant as long as the inputs and resolution are supported by current equipment. It's a 1920x1080 LED monitor with DVI, VGA, and HDMI inputs, 75 Hz refresh rate and 300 cd/m² brightness. The only thing truly lacking vs the latest offerings is DisplayPort.

The price point and three connector types makes it a versatile and easy buy. They are able to use a generic drivers also, so if you use it as a test monitor, it always works. At 1920 x 1080 it looks fine. Most fonts are easily viewed.
