After connecting one to spectrum modem. You connet the supllied splitter 
 to the coax cable at the wall on first floor then connect cable box and device to the splitter.

These items create ethernet over your existing coax cable. The ethernet connection on the moca can then be ran to any device you want to have the ethernet speed. I run the moca ethernet connection to an ethernet 5 port switch and then to the devices in the room such as streaming device, tv, etc..

The second device hooks up to a coax outlet where you need a hard wire network cable.
