“If you are receiving sound through the stereo where the cable box is in a closet at the TV is 25 feet away will the picture line up with the sound using this device?”

The audio will not line up perfectly, nor will it be 100% consistent. I know this because I had a perfect, unobstructed line of site between the transmitter and receiver and mine still had a noticeable audio lag at less than 12ft.
