Chromecast needs you to be on a shared network, this device lets you display without needing to be on the same network(like if you are using it in a place with no wifi).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.ChromeCast needs internet for streaming. I have traveled to places without internet signal or at least very low to streaming (ex. campgrounds). Most people have cellphones and some of them have HBO/Netflix etc streaming free. With this product you may see whatever you have in your cellphone/computer/tablet in a Tv. It does not matter if the tv is smart or not.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.ChromeCast will not let you display certain apps. I got it so I could beam my tivo app episodes from my device. Chromecast doesn't support it and I did try it.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Because the Chrome cast needs Wi-Fi in the stream beam Mini 2 doesn't require Wi-Fi. I had to Galaxy 5 in the Galaxy 7 in a really didn't have a problem with the stream being many 2. However, now that I have the Galaxy 9 Tama my stream bein Mini to lags a lot in sometimes freezes. But I recently purchased to Samsung Dex pad, which can essencially do the same thing in more. I highly recommend the Samsung DeX pad.
