if you're note 5 has smart view yes it will its some times called mirroring .

Hi! I currently have a Galaxy S6. I've been using the 'Smart View' option that is on my phone. If yours has that, than it will work fine. (:

It can connect to my Samsung Galaxy Note 3, Samsung Tab E, and Samsung Galaxy Edge 7. I would bet money on the fact it could connect to a Note 5. If you want to make sure ask an employee at the store, they made sure it would connect to my phone before I left the store.
