No, you have to attach it. Its very simple to do. This allows you to instead get a different/better heat sink if you desire. The included one has been working well for me.

No. The heat sink comes with it. It’s very easy to install after you put in the ssd. YouTube a video if you want better help. That’s what I did and it helped me a lot honestly
