The one that I bought had the SM2262EN controller. I bought my SSD about 3 months ago. The only way of really confirming the controller is buying and opening the SSD so if it is possible for you, buy a couple or few different ones and keep the one with the good controller. Hope this helps.

We apologize for any inconvenience the controller change may have caused. If you own an SX8200 Pro 1TB or 2TB that contain the SM2262G controller, you may reach out to us and we will replace the drive for one with the SM2262EN controller. This drive is still freaking fast and still competes to Samsung ssds regardless. If you are concern about performance numbers as opposed to real world use, then I don't recommend this drive. If you want a 2TB for way under $200 that is crazy fast, then grab these as soon as you can because drive prices are currently rising in general due to demand shortages.
