• No, I use ones that I bought on Deal of the Day years ago and they work great. I have a Samsung 65" and the picture is fantastic, and I use them on HDR

• No it doesn't have to be expensive, it just has to be long enough.

• If you want them to run inside your wall, then yes you do. They must be the "fire rated" cables. I would not buy less than 12' lines, based on my experience.
