• The Acrobat 2017 serial number is inside the DVD packaging. Will also be recorded in your Adobe.com account when the software is registered. If getting the digital delivery option, the SN will be sent by email, and also be recorded in your Adobe.com account upon registration.

• They give you a code. You take that code and follow the included instructions to request a Serial number. To do so you have to provide them a .edu email address or submit proof that you are a student or in education. Then they will email/send you a serial number. Takes minutes if you have a .edu account.
