Q: QuestionI am hearing impaired will this headphone work for me. My cochlea is in tack, it is my middle ear.
Asked by daral547.
- A:Answer Hey there! Our headphones work by sending vibrations from the temporal bone through the inner ear to the cochlea. Customers who benefit most from our products seem to be those with damaged ear drums, but a healthy cochlea. Even though our headphones aren't hearing devices, we have some customers who use them to assist with hearing, usually by pairing the headphones to their phone and accessing hearing aid apps. These apps (i.e., Petralex, Ear Spy, Ear Trumpet, and Hear You Now) use the mic on the phone to pick up surrounding sound and transmit it through the headphones. *Note: AfterShokz has a strong community of individuals that are hard of hearing, however; as a sport headphones company, we don't have the expertise to confirm whether our headphones can work for any particular person or medical condition.

Q: QuestionI really love this headset; however, after wearing them for a bit, they always start beeping. I'm not sure if this is due to interference or because I have two devices connected to it, but I haven't figured out a solution. Any thoughts?
Asked by Jeff.
- A:Answer Hey Jeff! The most probable explanation could be that you are connected to two devices and are out of range from one of your devices (~33 feet) and your headphones are alerting you that you are too far away. At this time, the only solution for this would be to disconnect or "forget" your headphones from one of your devices.

Asked by KLo.
- A:Answer You may want to check that the headset is sitting correctly. I have worn the Aeropex and these with no issues as to comfort. Check out the Aftershokz site for how the demo people wear it. I have a coworker that was leaning his headset to far forward or back.

Q: QuestionIf I purchased two, could one device sync to the other for communication?

Q: QuestionCan this be linked up to use as ainercom on bikes ? If so what range can you get?
Asked by Garyg.
- A:Answer I assume you mean an intercom? I think the answer is no. The headsets are bluetooth, but they need to connect to something that controls the bluetooth connection. When you start the headset, it says "pairing..." and you have to go to your phone and accept the bluetooth connection. That connects the headset to your phone. I don't think you can connect one headset directly to another. You could, though, have two people on bikes, each with their headset connected to their phone, and make a phone call to connect the two phones. Then you could both ride and talk, but you would be on a phone call the whole time.

Q: QuestionFor the "hearing impaired" does this system enhance cell phone sound?
Asked by rhb.
- A:Answer This is a bone-conduction headset. The sound does not enter through the outer ear and middle ear. The sound is conducted through your jaw bone and into the inner ear, bypassing the outer ear and middle ear. So this is perfect for the hearing-impaired.
