When you connect the headphones to your computer, it opens up basically a new drive. This allows you to drag and drop anything you want into it. I dropped mp3 files into it and it plays the mp3s. The manual says it will play MP3, WAV, WMA, AAC, and FLAC files. Apple music uses AAC so it will play those. The podcasts will work if it is the correct format.

I don’t know if that is an Apple Music thing or I just happened to have all the wrong file types. I purchased new mp3 from amazon music and loaded those easily on the headphones. The headphones are amazing and loving running without a phone and without chords!
