• So the vent is to let the heat outside when using the ac or the dehumidifier. You don't necessarily have to use the vent when using the dehumidifier but it does produce heat. I don't believe you need to use the vent when using the heater as the venting systems is there to push the heat outside to keep the area cooler. So if you want it warmer you would not use the vent.
