Yes. This chair is made so you do not sit your head back. but instead keep a proper and perfect posture. That is what the bottom and top pillow backrests are for. Excellent chair. i am 6 foot 2 inches tall. This is made for gaming/office sitting, so you never sit your head all the way back. That would not be proper posture for this use, and is why it is made this way, as most of the proper posture gaming chairs are made. Highly recommend. Best I have ever owned.

If you were 10' tall, you would be fine. If you have a really big waist, you may have issues. But that's why they make an extra wide chair as well. From Seat cushion to top of chair is 34" and from the floor to the top of the seat cushion 19" on the highest setting and 16" on the lowest.
