Solved! I finally had found a small red plastic bag with the keys (it was stored loose in the box, and must have fallen out while wrestling with the foam/box - hidden under some furniture). For other customers, look out for a small red plastic bag. For the packaging engineer, consider taping the red bag to the white foam (one of the side panels) for easy-to-see contrast. Otherwise, grateful was able to unlock the drawers to put this fully assembled and intact unit to use!
