I figured it out.....here's the "Step by Step": - Push "OK" button. -Use center pad that surrounds the "OK" button and push it at the bottom to scroll down 4 clicks, then push that tab to the right 1 click to the "SETTINGS" menu, and click "OK" center button. -Click the right side of tab again 1 time, to scroll to the right of the upper menu from "NETWORK & CONNECTIVITY" heading to "PERSONALIZATION" -Click the down tab 1 time to select "DISPLAY" and click "OK" - You will be on the screen that says "WALLPAPER"....now push the "DOWN" tab 1 time and it will show the menu "BRIGHTNESS"...click "OK" and push the right/left tab to increase or decrease the brightness.....you might have to click OK again. -While in that section of the menu, if you scroll down you can see other menu display items to adjust like: SCREEN TIMEOUT,,...AUTO KEYPAD LOCK.....WALLPAPER....& back to BRIGHTNESS. Remember when in the settings section, not only can you scroll down, but also scroll to right/left for additional menu's..... Hope this helps, or maybe you figured it out already. I don't like this phone as compared to my old Alcatel Flip which used to display how many minutes/days I had, now you have to Text 'Balance' to 611611 for your Airtime Balance. Here's other ways to do it, but the *777*1# does not work on this phone at least for me, and from what I read others with other SmartPhones. I guess it depends which service on Tracfone you're on....At&T or the Verizon Cell Tower. Here's the link for other ways to check Air-Time Balance: https://tracfonereviewer.blogspot.com/2015/02/how-to-check-your-tracfone-airtime.html
