Yes, this phone has a dual SIM slot and it is network unlocked, so you can use it with more than one compatible GSM carrier. Please check with your carrier to make sure that its network is accepting GSM phone. As for the taking pictures, buying an extra SD card will allow you to store more pictures. SD memory card is for storing pictures, while a SIM card is for your network service. Make sure that you insert the SD card into the correct slot and it is formatted as portable memory. Also, as you are recording your picture using the Camera app, select the menu choice of saving picture to the SD card. This phone has 2 slots for 2 different simcards. In addition, you can add additional micro memory for additional spaces to store your pictures. Hope it helps
