CFM is a desktop‑fan metric. Laptop cooling works very differently: Uses thin, high‑RPM blower fans (not open axial fans). Airflow varies constantly based on: Temperature, Power profile (Quiet / Balanced / Performance), CPU & GPU load. Focus is on static pressure + heatpipe efficiency, not raw airflow. Because of this, manufacturers tune cooling through firmware and don’t state fixed airflow numbers. Dell instead exposes thermal profiles via Alienware Command Center (AWCC), not CFM ratings.
