There are 3 cooling fans: top, back, and bottom. Also one on the GPU. I haven't had overheating issues. Alienware has software monitoring the Temps and regulate the speed of the fans (which has manual override also). Because of the size of the fans, if the Temps rise the fans speed up. At 100% the fans are really loud (tried with manual). But with auto regulation I've never reached 100% with pretty heavy usage, but you can hear the speeds changing, but for me it's not bothersome, and fast speeds really cool the temps. So overall it's a good cooling system.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No problems yet, heat blows out the top so make sure you have clearance there
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I answered this in another thread but, I will gladly inform you that the applet monitors all heat generating components and they have never exceeded a temp of 94 degrees Fahrenheit. The GPU runs cooler than the ambient sensor and the CPU sensors which run at/around 87 degrees F while running the most recent beast game Tom Clancy Ghost Recon Wildlands. These high end graphics games run like a top and are amazing!!! This is a beast of a machine and is worth every penny that I paid for it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not even close. There is significant venting and the fan runs like a well oiled machine! I have been monitoring the CPU, Ambient Sensor and GPU sensors and they run at cool MAX temps of 29, 37, and 29 degrees Celsius. The included monitor is very helpful in keeping an eye on the heat. I have been playing Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands all day long and the GPU has not budged. The power supply and cooling mechanisms of this machine are robust!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am an avid gamer and I have never had any issues with the system overheating. Although this is the second one that I've purchased because the first one was Junk and had to be returned. The second one has worked as expected for a gaming system in this price range.
