First, I make it a habit to download the users and service manuals on anything electronic and read them before the box gets here with the new toy. While some were adding ram of different sizes in various mixtures in the box, I'm from the day where you actually paid high dollars for "matched pairs" of Ram. So I yanked out the ram and replaced it with 2 sets of Kingston Technology HyperX Fury Black 32GB 2666MHz DDR4 CL16 DIMM Kit of 2 (HX426C16FBK2/32. The Optane Memory is a small SSD near the hard drive, but there are a handful of bays at the bottom of the machine where I just slipped this into one of those bays ( Samsung - 860 EVO 1TB Internal SATA Solid State Drive in addition to the Intel Optane. Everything is working fine!
