QuestionI have owned this PC for a few months, assuming that it had a 700 watt power supply. I just read now that it has a 450watt?? isn't that less power than what a 1070GTX GPu requires? Why such a small PS? and would it need to be upgraded with a 2nd GPU?

- Answer no You can go to evga site and they have a power tool to see what kind of psu you would need with what they only rec a 500 watt remember new stuff takes less energy. I already asked and it can handle a 1080ti so the new 11xx series you will be just fine remember newer stuff takes less watts volts and in return less of a power bill

QuestionWhat is the best, or most affordable way to upgrade the amount of storage? 1 TB is just not enough these days. There is NO extra 3.5 slots, there is extra spots located on the bottom of unit, but they are a smaller size...

- Answer those are for 2.5 SSD...you can either buy that or a 2.5 Laptop hard drive. or just swap out the 1tb and buy a larger drive....(relatively cheap these days)

QuestionNow to desktop PCs, been reading about custom fan settings, does the cpu fan in this model always need to be 100%? If not, anyone got a good curve setting in the Alienware thermal controller they don’t mind sharing

- Answer The CPU fan should always read 100% because it is not an actual fan but the pump for the liquid cooler.

- Answer Just like any PC, dust will make your PC run slower than it should. and if you do not maintain it the fans can get pile up with dust and it can stop working therefore not cool the Graphics card or CPU and your system will over heat. you can put it under a desk but it is not recommended and you will have to work 3 times as hard to keep it clean. so open space is ideal.(unless you have a water cooling system)

- Answer From my limited observation into the case, I would say no because there is no visible extra slot except for a PCI-e ×16 for an additional graphics card and 2× SSD 2.5 HDD slots.

- Answer As far as I know you can just install an SSD without anything else needed. I believe the newer version (R7) have motherboards that support both SSD and Optane modules.

- Answer First, I make it a habit to download the users and service manuals on anything electronic and read them before the box gets here with the new toy. While some were adding ram of different sizes in various mixtures in the box, I'm from the day where you actually paid high dollars for "matched pairs" of Ram. So I yanked out the ram and replaced it with 2 sets of Kingston Technology HyperX Fury Black 32GB 2666MHz DDR4 CL16 DIMM Kit of 2 (HX426C16FBK2/32. The Optane Memory is a small SSD near the hard drive, but there are a handful of bays at the bottom of the machine where I just slipped this into one of those bays ( Samsung - 860 EVO 1TB Internal SATA Solid State Drive in addition to the Intel Optane. Everything is working fine!
