It has a solid state drive. I have had both the R7 with Optane and no SSD and the R7 with no Optane but with SSD. For me, the SSD boots up quicker and offers a lot more space on it than the Optane. Not having Optane should not be a considering factor for your purchase if it has SSD.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You really only see a benefit with optane on a traditional spinning HD, and even then only on the primary drive. Since the OS is on the SSD you don't gain anything by having optane installed on this rig.
