Yes, you may. The Kardiamobile devices detect the heart's electrical activity in the exact same manner as a professional ECG machine. If your pacemaker is firing, the "spikes" generated by the pacemaker will show up on tracings generated by the Kardia device and the Kardiamobile will not interfere with the pacemaker in any manner. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My electrophysioligist at Cleveland Clinic knows that I have a pacemaker/defibrillator and said it was OK to purchase the 6L. My son is a paramedic and in nursing school so he gets to interpret the waveforms for me.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, but if you are constantly being paced, depending on the type of pacemaker (single or dual chamber) all you will see on the screen is pacer spikes. That will show that the pacemaker is functioning, but won’t show your intrinsic (or underlying natural) heart rhythm. That would make analysis, other than to a certain degree the pacemaker itself, impossible. If you have a demand pacer (one that only activated only when needed), in between the pacemaker activation, you would be able to monitor, again to some degree, your intrinsic/baseline (natural) rhythm. I would get more info from your doctor about the specific pacemaker you have, and decide together if it would be worth the investment given the limitations in your circumstance. Hope this helps!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Kardia products have not been tested for accuracy with paced-EKG recordings. We do not recommend the use of Kardia products for patients with pacemakers, ICDs, or other implanted electronic devices because we cannot guarantee the accuracy of the resulting EKG recordings.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don’t know the answer. I would talk to my doctor and ask him about it again or to your family doctor.
