Many people focus too much attention on the rear speakers. Rear speakers are for "rear fill". If your front speakers are able to create a good front stage and proper imaging AND be able to play clearly at high volume levels to balance out the subs, rear speakers are usually not necessary. Take out the 6X9s that reside in your rear deck. If you feel the need to put rear speakers later on, go with something small like a 5.25 in a coax.
