Component speakers are always broken into 3 parts. Tweeters, a Mid woofer and a crossover which controls the frequency of the speaker(s). It prevents the tweeter from receiving sounds (frequencies) that can damage them. These are 2 way speakers (2 speakers total). You can buy this set to replace the tweeters and midwoofers (door speakers) or you can just replace the tweeters for the $135 you may be referring to. I dont think you will enjoy just replacing tweeters unless that is the weakest part of your speaker setup. Normally the door speakers (mids/midwoofer) are the ones people prefer to replace as they do the most work.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Most cars have place for tweeter. If you don’t you can mount it where you want .
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Those are external crossovers. I would definitely go with these speakers as opposed to the ones you mentioned. The sound in these speakers are phenomenal. The crossovers can easily be concealed in your door panel.
