• Yes, must be plugged in, like your tv, it doesn’t have any kind of battery.

• You must have it powered with the power cord. It is not a tablet per se as it does not have an internal battery. Even if it did you would need to plug it in every day, the same as a tablet if you left the screen on all the time. The battery would not last for days.

• It needs to be plugged in to have the power to show the time and the pictures and weather. You can turn off the frame but it still needs to be plugged in to work. I took my pictures from my computer. The cord comes with the frame to hook up to the computer and the frame.
