I purchased this as a gift and we haven’t actually loaded it with photos/videos yet but the actual storage would depend highly on the size of the images you want to load on the 16gig internal memory. That said 16gig is pretty large. A quick Google search said the following… The file size and file format both play a major role when it comes to capacity. Depending on those factors, you'll be able to fit somewhere between 200 and 12,000 images onto a 16GB memory card. Typically, a 16GB sd card can hold around 2861 JPEG photos in 16 megapixels. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.With 16GB of memory that unit can hold 2,000 photos depending on the size of the photos. I do not recommend using up all the internal memory. This is very similar to computers where you want to leave some of the internal memory for OS operations, speed and efficiency.
