Yes, I take both photos and videos with my camera and it plays both. You can load both onto the unit at the same time, but you have to select which you want to display. It doesn't seem to play a mix of photos and videos together. Press the menu to select which you want played.

If it requires FAT32 formatted memory card then your video size is going to be limited to 4GB. If you are taking HD videos (as is standard with modern phones) then longer videos may be too large.
