• There is a motion sensor on them. So they turn on when the is motion and turn off after a period of no morion

• If you have a motion sensor frame then go into settings > system settings > display and set the motion sensor to on. This will turn the frame on and off when people are in the room. You can also set an Auto on / off time. I recommend running the frame 8 to 10 hours a day.
