• I dont completely understand your question. Think of this like a TV tray...but maybe a little taller. It will not reach from the floor to the couch. It would sit on the couch with you.

• The table legs do not extend from the floor to your own lap, however, on a couch or armchair it will fit easily over your lap with its adjustable legs resting on the cushion on each side of your lap.
