• The camera does not have a speaker. The audio will come out of your computer speakers, headphones or whatever sound device you have hooked up to your computer.

• I had the same question and unfortunately assumed that the mic worked as a speaker as well. It definitely does not and you much also purchase speakers in order to use this product. We've had a lot of difficulty getting the device settings right on our PC because my speakers are also microphones, so if I activate the speaker, it will serve as a mic, which the Aluratek is also doing.
